Daiwa Crosscast Black 5500A Reel

The Daiwa Crosscast Black 5500A Reel has Daiwa’s patented Quick Drag technology. Based on the classic freespool system, Quick Drag allows for the precision adjustment of the drag and drag engagement within one turn. This is ideal for carp fishing. 

The large T-shaped handle knob gives good grip for when you’re involved in a huge fight – even in wet conditions.

The Crosscast Black is fitted with a Hip Impact Protection (HIP) line clip. This HIP line clip is sprung loaded, so you are able to use it with confidence with every size of line – without risk of damaging it. In real terms, this allows you to cast with precision, consistently, without fear of damaging your line – ideal for when you’re on the bank attacking features with lots of success.

Air Bail is Daiwa’s patented bail arm. Protrusion free, this ensures that you never experience snagging or warp-ups, even when you’re faced with lots of loose line after a long distance cast.

Digigear is Daiwa’s specialised digital gearing system. This ensures that the gearing is machined to perfection and gives a perfect mesh time after time. In turn, this enables maximum power transferral between the handle and the rotor whilst also minimising wear and tear from unnecessary friction.
